For the centenary of Marshall McLuhan, Alphabetville, Zinc and the School of Arts in Aix-en-Provence, in collaboration with Leonardo/Olats, Iméra, Seconde Nature, Cité du Livre, INA and Selfworld, propose three days to understand McLuhan’s thought and its effects. With artistic works, conferences, readings, films, demos, talks, archives, some artists, theorists, scientists, philosophers, will look to McLuhan to consider him from an historical aspect to a present dimension, from electronic to digital medias, and into the global information and networks, ever called the « global village » by McLuhan.
